PROJECT STATEMENT
This year our liberty to navigate freely and connect physically with people was suddenly taken away by something that we cannot even see with our eyes. The global response to COVID19 has been immense and worldwide, and each of us is doing what we can to be able to return to normalcy. As a result of the current situation, it became evident how capable we are when we work together for the same end. How would nature and the world be if we fight together to improve the environment and global warming?
We have been ignoring environmental issues because we don’t tend to see them, or because they don’t seem to affect us directly. We are so distracted in our daily routines that it takes our attention away from things that matter, and that we should be grateful for, like nature. The COVID pandemic inspired me to ask my students to think about environmental issues and why humans, mostly unintentionally, seem to be against nature when instead, they should nurture it as their ally.
We have a new reality that has forced us to change our habits and lifestyles, and it has also shown us how capable we are when we work together as humans. This website seeks to ponder how do we relate to the world that is around us and to inspire mindfulness about our world and not be against nature. By saving nature we are also saving ourselves.
